I woke up this past Saturday at 5am in order to make the drive down to Long Beach by 645 for an all day photography workshop. Upon awakening my first thought was “Am I really doing this? At 5am, REALLY Bob?” But I’m glad I did, the class was really cool but INTENSE!!! We covered a LOT but it was very hands on which I prefer because I get bored quickly. Quick plug, if you’re in the LA area and looking for informative workshops, check out Hector’s classes!
Below are some of the photos I took during the exercises we covered.(Some I stole from Hector’s Facebook page that he took throughout the day, you will see his logo on those) There are a lot of “mistakes” in my photos and I didn’t edit them because one, I don’t feel like it and two, you learn more from seeing your mistakes. Keep it mind this class was geared towards learning the actual camera functions and capabilites. This was not a “Composition” class so all you professionals be easy with your critiques!!! 🙂
Below are a couple of photos that were taken the day after class. I was sitting on the sidewalk beside my building, playing with settings on my camera and when I looked up, I lock eyes with a squirrel. I didn’t have time to make adjustments so I just started shooting before he ran away. Luckily I got a couple of “ok” shots.
*** The following photos were all taken by Hector.
